The Anonymous Accountant

Well, work has begun finally. I am actually somewhat happy to be in the office rather than sitting on my couch hoping that the Thai coup d’etat would heat up so that CNN would get more interesting. Instead, I am being trained to audit. The first few days are really just getting acclimated to the firm and familiarizing yourself with the salary, benefits and most importantly, the firm’s technology and billing systems. You get the feeling that a lot of time is going to be spent accounting for every 5 minute run up to fetch some files or burrying coffee break time in one of the firm’s biggest clients (where no one will notice). The people seem nice and I want to get to work already! Check back soon for when I actually get down to some work.
